Abstract

This report presents the results of sorting analyses of paper and cardboard waste, collected house-to-house or derived from communal paper containers. Analyses took place in January 1993 in the framework of activities defined in an agreement between the Dutch government and the packing industry, the so called 'Convenant Verpakkingen'. Sorting analyses proved that the average amount of paper, originated from used packings, is 14.8%. The impurity, defined as found non-paper, non-cardboard, is quantified 0.9% average.
